Artist's Bio
Mariana Baertl, a Peruvian textile artist, studied Fashion Design before moving to Barcelona to specialise in Haute Couture and pattern making. She later earned a postgraduate degree in Fashion Business Management at Pompeu Fabra University. While working in fashion, she discovered a passion for fibre arts, exploring weaving and embroidery. Her work blends embroidery, weaving, and appliqué, using natural materials to create layered, flowing compositions. Inspired by nature, she crafts textured, three-dimensional pieces from her Barcelona-based studio.
