One-on-One Beginner's DYE-IT-YOURSELF Workshop
If you love colour and yarn, this is the workshop for you!
Join Roya and Asad in this unique workshop and learn how to dye yarns professionally using acid dyes and premium wool yarns.
This workshop teaches you how to dye yarn in a solid shade.
In this workshop, you will learn the following:
- How to create a safe working dyeing environment.
- How to prepare undyed yarn and what's required before you start with colours!
- How to work with acid dyes.
- How to rinse and care for the yarn after dyeing.
- Troubleshooting, including a 15-minute Q&A session.
Included in the Workshop:
- Two skeins of 100% superwash merino wool yarn (that you get to take home*).
- Acid dyes and citric acid mixture to use at the workshop (you can take the remaining home).
- Notebook and pen (for note keeping).
- Light snacks and beverages.
- Certificate of completion.
- You will also be provided with mandatory safety materials and utensils at the workshop, which are not to take home and must remain in the outlet.
Prep before Workshop:
- Dress appropriately; don't wear anything you don't want to be stained, and avoid flowing clothes.
- Tie up long hair.
- Don't wear dangling jewellery.
- Closed-toe shoes are a must for your safety.
- The workshop area will be air-conditioned, so you may want to bring a light sweater.
Health Restrictions:
- DO NOT attend this workshop if you are pregnant or have any respiratory-related illnesses.

*You will not be able to take your dyed yarns home on the day of the workshop as the dye pot needs to be cooled, the dyed yarns rinsed in a soap bath and clear water, overnight drying of the dyed yarns and wound into a ball. The whole process can take up to 48 hours. You can collect your dyed yarns 48 hours later or opt for free delivery within UAE.
