Rotex

Rotex threads are specialist surface threads made in Japan, designed for textile art, embroidery, and traditional techniques such as Talli. They are flat metallic strips that deliver a clean, reflective finish and consistent quality. Unlike conventional threads, Rotex is used for couching, where the thread is laid onto the surface and secured with a secondary thread rather than stitched through fabric. This preserves its metallic shine while allowing precise placement. The collection includes different widths and types, with MG-200 offering more flexibility for curves and Talli work, and MG-100 providing a firmer structure for sharper, more defined designs.
